A map shows a running route in Zürich, featuring a 19-kilometer long run completed in 1 hour and 59 minutes with an average pace of 6:12 per kilometer, as part of a half marathon training plan.

I completed the first and second modules (System Design + Networking) of the iOS Lead Essentials program 🧑‍💻!

Me taking a selfie during a snowy run, with performance stats from a the Runna app like distance, time, and pace displayed alongside elevation and pace graphs.

#Winter has decidedd to come back over night, took the chance to take some #snow shots with my #iPhone15ProMax to test multi #photo posts on micro.blog. The #AI descriptions generated from within the app were ok, so I kept them. #iPhonePhotography 📷

Today’s #running #training with #Runna was the first one after my dental surgery last week. I didn’t get all of the #interval paces right, but I kept pushing till the very last interval.

Hello IndieWeb world!

Who’s talking ? 👋

My name is Marco Siccardi, 40+ guy and father of two young adults and husband of a wonderful and patient wife.

I am a .NET Software Developer, currently focused on mobile app development for iOS at my daytime job. In my spare time, I am learning Swift and SwiftUI to progress on my journey as a software developer.

Interests

Here is a (incomplete) list of things you can expect to read about from me:

  • Programming Stuff (C#/.NET, Swift/SwiftUI) 💻
  • Progress of my side projects (mostly app development) 📱
  • Learning progress 🎓
  • Rants, mostly about dev problems 🤬
  • Running (training log, race reviews, etc.) 🏃‍♂️
  • Photos I take, trying to use the full potential of my iPhone 15 Pro Max 📷
  • Sharing interesting links in different areas (space 🚀, science 🔬, environment 🌍, and programming of course)

Why micro.blog?

One of my side project ideas was a website to show off my photos to avoid social networks. I would also let them being posted automatically to my social network accounts, of course. The item sleeps on my to-do list like forever. On top, I was thinking about how I can consolidate all my fragmented social accounts after my Twitter x-odus.

Turns out, I am late to the game of POSSE. This week, I learned about micro.blog while listening to @hanselman.com’s Hanselminutes podcast, where he talked to @manton. It may be all I ever wanted in this space plus some more features I haven’t thought of untli now.

Other places

While exploring the possibilities migro.blog provides, I will still be active on my existing platforms. Here’s a list of where you can find me outside this space here:
